Welcome To The Future With The New Bionic Hand

New bionic hand has been developed by a group of Scientists that can 'see' objects and allow amputees to grasp things ten times faster than currently available prosthetic.

This new born arms are going to overlook the usual processes which require the user to see the object, physically stimulate the muscles in the arm and trigger a movement in the prosthetic limb, the hand ‘sees’ and reacts in one fluid movement.

This future ready arms are developed by the researchers of Newcastle University in the UK and a small number of amputees have already trialed the new technology. It is believed that this technology would help so many physically disabled people in many way to overcome the odds.

Please visit the official site of 'bebionic' for more information.

India's Second Scorpene-Class Submarine Khanderi, Some Key Facts You Need To Know

Khanderi, India's second Scorpene-class attack submarine was launched at Mumbai's Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited on 12 Jan, 2017. This massive and powerful submarine is designed in collaboration with France's Direction des Constructions Navales or DCN and the engine is powered by Diesel-electric. The Scorpene project has been in the news lately after details emerged of leaked technical data, but the Indian Navy believes the leak of information - published by an Australian daily - does not compromise the operational prowess of the submarines.

Interesting Facts:

1. The Submarine is equipped with superior stealth technology
2. The Submarine will counter activities of China in Indian Ocean
3. Khanderi is named after an island fort of the Marathas which ensured their supremacy at sea in the late 17th century.

5. It is specially designed to operate in all theatres including tropics.
6. India is among a few countries in the world which produce conventional submarines. Its submarine arm completes 50 years in December this year. Submarine Day is celebrated on December 8, the day when the first submarine, the INS Kalvari, was inducted into the Indian Navy in 1967.

ISRO Make India Proud By Launching 104 Satellites In Single Shot

Again ISRO makes a new history by launching 104 satellites in a single shot. This is really incredible. Today around 10AM the PSLV-C37 launched with a heavy load of 1378 kg (approx.) and nearly after 17 minutes and 30 seconds into the mission, when the rocket hit a velocity of 7609.52 metre per second, the prime payload, the indigenous Cartosat-2 series satellite separated.

The main attraction for this mission is that ISRO makes a huge jump in scaling up the load capacity, i.e. last time on June 2016 ISRO launched 20 satellites at a time and this time it launched 104 satellites successfully. Which includes 714kg Cartosat-2 series satellite along with two other Indian satellites, and 101 international co-passengers which were nano and micro satellites. This progress of ISRO is appreciated by all the nations.

The main satellite for this mission is :
India’s Cartosat-2 series satellite : This is basically India's Earth Observation satellite and the weight is 664KG.

Common Mistakes People Make When Buying a Gaming Computer

Shopping for computers remains a daunting task for many. There’s a lot you need to know before buying a computer, and even more mistakes you can make shopping for a computer. Matters only get more complicated when you set your eyes on a buying a gaming computer. In order to play the latest video games on a computer, your rig is going to need to have at least a graphics card on top of the other hardware a typical PC needs.

Of course if you have a fat wallet, you can check the system requirements and buy yourself a top-notch rig that meets those requirements. But assuming you don’t have a fat wad of cash that you can freely blow on the most expensive machines on the market, let’s consider good value PCs that balance price and performance, both pre-built and projects you want to put together yourself, and clear up some of the easy mistakes you can make that are specific to gaming computers.

I. Buying a gaming PC because it looks cool

This mistake is quite similar to the idea that bigger is better. A gaming rig with a cool looking case and snazzy lighting can easily fail to have the high-end components inside necessary for the best gaming experience. In fact, a simple black box could easily outperform a fireworks display of a gaming PC as long as it has the right components.

This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy a stylish computer, as having something flashy and original is one of the fun parts of having a gaming PC. Just know that all the visuals of the machine are going to be a superfluous cost and should be last in line for your consideration. If you want a solid machine, think about putting your money into the machines guts and not its cover.

II. Not Spending on Power Supply

We often forget that without a solid source of power there is no use of a high end PC. Power sourcing is the back bone of any gaming computer. CPU consumes a lot of power when high end games are on. The component delivers the electricity to all the other components in your rig. If you buy one that doesn’t do a good job or is of questionable quality, it has the potentially to result in sub-optimal performance,  damage or destroy your components, or even start a fire. A low quality power supply will also probably be inefficient, meaning it could increase the cost of your electricity bill at the end of each month. You’re also going to need to make sure that you power supply is of a high enough wattage to actually support all of the components in your computer. A good CPU and GPU are going to require more power than the average non-gaming computer.

III. Don't spend huge money on RAM

It is true that computer games will require a certain amount of RAM installed in your computer. But you’re probably not going to need a lot. Make sure that you have enough RAM for whatever game you want to play, but don’t go thinking you need to put in as much RAM as your computer can handle. It will definitely save lot of money.

IV. Not spending money on Hard Drives

You should always remember one thing that modern video games are big. Even some games can easily exceed 30GB. Future games are going to use even higher quality textures and models that will make the game files even larger. Plus, games these days get all sorts of expansions that require even more space on top of the original file. If you only play one game at a time, and remove them from your machine afterward, then you should have no problem working with a smaller drive, but gamers who like to have all their games downloaded and ready to play on a moments notice should plan on having large storage and a computer with extra SATA cables and drive bays for additional hard drives or solid state drives. For fastest access to your games, make sure to get either an SSD or at least a 7,200 RPM hard drive that connect to your motherboard via SATA III 6.0 Gbps. If you don't know where to get this, don't worry just click on the link: High end Hard drives.

Ever Wonder How Chainsaws are Made. Let's Find Out.

A chainsaw (or chain saw) is a portable, mechanical saw which cuts with a set of teeth attached to a rotating chain that runs along a guide bar. It is used in activities such as tree felling, limbing, bucking, pruning, cutting firebreaks in wildland fire suppression, and harvesting of firewood.

Chainsaws with specially designed bar and chain combinations have been developed as tools for use in chainsaw art and chainsaw mills.
But have you ever wondered how chainsaws are manufactured? Find out by checking out this episode of the Discovery Channel’s “How It’s Made” television series.

Apple’s IPhone 7 Plus Is Going To Be Super-Impressive Than We Thought

With all the anticipation around the iPhone 7 and also the speculation about its name, one fact cannot be denied and that is, you cannot ignore an iPhone, especially when it hasn’t reached the markets yet. It is a well-known fact that Apple is very stingy when it comes to components like RAM. From a long time, 16 GB has kind of stuck with it like a trademark. But a new report has claimed that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 will come with 3GB of RAM instead of the 2GB currently found on the iPhone 6s.
It isn’t clear though, if both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models will get the memory boost. The probability is in the favour of the 5.5-inch iPhone 7. This is to note that it is the rumours regarding the iPhone 7 Plus’ camera that has pushed these memory-enhancing reports to the fore.
iphone
According to strong rumours doing the rounds, the iPhone 7 is going to have a new and advanced camera system so to meet its technical requirements the memory needs to be expanded. It is expected that the iPhone 7 Pro will come with an advanced dual camera system based on technology Apple picked up via its 2014 acquisition of Linx.
If the claims of Linx are to be believed (these were made before the acquisition), it was on the way of providing DSLR performance in slim handsets with a camera technology that delivered superior camera performance on many parameters like improved photo quality in low light, improved colour fidelity, decreased noise levels etc. If all this holds true, then iPhone 7 is surely going to be a ‘must have’ smartphone.

How You Install A New Memory In Your PC At Home

Turning your old computer into a reasonably speedy one is a real possibility. Today’s generation is getting very much accustomed with the new vibrant technologies including laptops, computers and Internet. With computer, came the abundance of software. Currently software like Photoshop, Skype, Dropbox and Web browsers like Chrome/ Safari etc. are must for the users.

These software runs on RAM while the sessions are in process.

Often, 2 to 4 GB of RAM makes it difficult for your computer to run with many essential software. You need to increase your RAM if your PC is finding it difficult to run because of the presence or usage of large number of software.

In today’s context, 4GB is suggested if the computer’s performance requirement is very gentle, but an 8 GB is advised if you are a heavy software user, however 16GB is a superlative option.

Various kinds of RAM’s are available in the market, like, DDR4, DDR2, and DDR3 etc. DDR2 and DDR are older versions of RAM, whereas DDR3 rules the market today. There are different brands of RAM are available for purchase, like, Kingston, Corsair, G.Skill etc. You must keep in mind the design of RAM’s heat sink when selecting a brand. The other important feature to be considered is the speed and memory kit capacity of the RAM. Clock speed should be from 1600HZ to 1866HZ for DDR3 RAM.

Follow the steps below to install new memory in your Personal Computer

Step 1

Shut down your PC and disconnect all the connected cables. Take out the motherboard by opening the CPU.

Step 2

There are four memory slots next to the big heat sink. RAM slots are adjacent to the CPU socket.
Step 3

Remove the old Ram by removing the plastic latch aside of it. Also, remove any dust present on the RAM slot.

Step 4

Now place the new RAM in the slot so that every small socket in the RAM get filled with the slots, you can also read the Motherboard manual, if required. Now lock the RAM with the plastic latch.

Step 5:
Now put back the PC case and connect all the cables and turn on your PC.
Sometimes the system might take few restarts to adopt your newly introduced memory. So keep calm and have patience. You can use the same steps for any RAM.

How To Recover Data From A Dead Computer...

When, a computer becomes dead, everyone assumes that all the data is also gone along with the computer. But, believe it or not, recovering data from a dead computer is not that difficult. Normally companies follow a very common template of recovering data. Here, are the steps to recover files from a dead computer:
Get an external hard disc drive which can host a hard disk and connect to a computer via USB port.
Borrow a computer which is compatible as the old one in terms of file system. For example, if one has windows file system then he/she must get another windows computer. It is to be ensured that it has sufficient space to accommodate recovered files.
A Windows hard drive user can insert a Mac into their computer. But, that will be able to read but not write the contents of the hard drive. One has do install a separate driver in order to perform this function.
It is very important to remove the hard drive from the dead PC. Unplugging and removal of the battery is needed for this. Turn it over and unscrew the screws. Unscrew the hard drive cover and remove the hard drive.
You have to remove the disc enclosure plate and insert it into the external hard drive interface. The adapter can then be pulled off, thus ensuring connectivity between the drive and enclosure connector plate.
The hard drive is needed to be inserted into the enclosure.
Connect the hard drive to a working computer. It must be ensured that the computer is on. An icon will appear once the drive is connected.
It is compulsory to recover and explore files by either copying and pasting or clicking and dragging. This process may take few hours to complete.
Once this is done the window on the dead drive needs to be closed.
Right click the USB icon and click eject. Now the old hard drive can be detached.
This process is simple for desktops but not easy for laptops, especially closed laptops that cannot be opened so easily. You might need the help of a computer engineer who can pull the hard drive and recover the data for you.
It is always advisable for you to avoid a scenario like this. Always keep multiple back up of the data as a practice.

How to Easily Boost Your Cell Phone Signal at Home

Easily Boost Your Cell Phone Signal at Home. Poor signal strength could be your carrier’s fault, or it could be because of signal-blocking materials in your home’s walls. Whatever the cause, you can boost that signal and get the maximum number of bars at home. Or, better yet, just use Wi-Fi calling on a modern phone.
Many cellular carriers offer inexpensive–or maybe even free–devices that you can plug in at home to extend a cellular signal. But Wi-Fi calling is a better solution that will remove the need for a strong cellular signal wherever you have good Wi-Fi, as long as your carrier offers it.

Wi-Fi Calling and SMS

Wi-Fi calling has become increasingly widespread in the last few years. If you have an iPhone 5c or any newer iPhone, you can use Wi-Fi calling. It’s also built into many modern Android phones. This is the best solution if your phone and cellular carrier supports it.

Essentially, Wi-Fi calling allows your smartphone to make calls and send text messages over a Wi-Fi network. Your home probably has Wi-Fi, so Wi-Fi calling will let you use your existing wireless router instead of needing a new, specialized device. You can just improve your Wi-Fi signal strength, and all your devices will benefit!

This feature works transparently. When your phone is on Wi-Fi and has a poor cellular signal, it will connect to the Wi-Fi network and your phone calls and text will be sent and arrive over the Wi-Fi network. When you leave the Wi-Fi network, your phones and calls will be sent over the cellular network as usual. This is all designed to hand off automatically, so you could start a phone call on your Wi-Fi network and your phone would automatically switch to the cellular network as you walk out the door, with no interruptions. And unlike some older “Wi-FI calling” services, this doesn’t require a special app.
Wi-Fi calling only works on a phone if your cellular carrier supports it, but many cellular carriers have jumped on board. In the USA, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, and Vodafone all support Wi-Fi calling. Various cellular carriers in other countries support it, too. Consult Apple’s list of carriers that support iPhone features and check if your carrier offers the “Wi-Fi calling” feature on an iPhone.

To enable Wi-Fi calling on an iPhone, head to Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling.

There’s no big list of carriers and devices that work with Wi-Fi calling on Android, so consult your carrier or search the web for more information if you’re using Android.

To enable Wi-Fi calling on an Android phone, head to Settings > Wireless and Networks > More > Wi-Fi Calling. Phone manufacturers can customize Android, so this setting may also be located in a different location or called something else on your Android phone. Again, your carrier will likely have instructions for you.

Femtocells / Microcells

A femtocell–or “microcell”–is a small, low-power cellular base station that connects to the cellular network via your broadband Internet connection. Essentially, it’s a small cellular signal tower that will provide a signal in and near your home, connecting to the larger mobile network over your Internet connection. This makes it ideal for situations where you don’t even have a signal bar of coverage you can boost at home. The only “catch” is that your Internet connection must have a high enough download speed. Different carriers require different minimum speeds, but you should be fine as long as you have a solid broadband connection.

If you can use Wi-Fi calling on your devices, that’s a better and easier solution that doesn’t require any more hardware. But femtocells can provide a signal to older devices that can’t do Wi-Fi.

Ask your cellular carrier if they offer this sort of product and find out how much it will cost you. As with boosters and repeaters, a femtocell may be available at a steep discount from your carrier in areas they know they have poor cellular service.

You can also buy them easily on Amazon or almost any decent tech store–for instance the one pictured below works for AT&T and supports LTE (though it is a bit pricey), or you can get one that supports Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, Cricket, and many others, but you won’t get LTE support. Of course, since you likely have Wi-Fi in your house, LTE isn’t really a big deal and the 3G will work just fine for calls and texts.

Watch out, though–microcells create a cellular signal anyone can connect to, and they use your Internet connection as the backbone. If you’re in an urban area with a lot of people around, a lot of devices may connect to your microcell, taking up your precious bandwidth and pushing you towards your Internet service provider’s data cap. Some microcells allow you to create a whitelist so only your own devices can connect, but many just allow anyone to connect.
Wi-Fi calling is the future. With Wi-Fi calling integrated into your phone, you don’t need to buy a specialized device. Your home Wi-Fi router works. And, when you go somewhere else where you have a poor signal, all they need is a Wi-Fi network and you’ll be able to get a phone calls and SMS messages through it.

If your devices and cellular carrier support Wi-Fi calling, you should definitely just use that rather than buying a signal booster or microcell.
