Welcome To The Future With The New Bionic Hand

New bionic hand has been developed by a group of Scientists that can 'see' objects and allow amputees to grasp things ten times faster than currently available prosthetic.

This new born arms are going to overlook the usual processes which require the user to see the object, physically stimulate the muscles in the arm and trigger a movement in the prosthetic limb, the hand ‘sees’ and reacts in one fluid movement.

This future ready arms are developed by the researchers of Newcastle University in the UK and a small number of amputees have already trialed the new technology. It is believed that this technology would help so many physically disabled people in many way to overcome the odds.

India's Second Scorpene-Class Submarine Khanderi, Some Key Facts You Need To Know

Khanderi, India's second Scorpene-class attack submarine was launched at Mumbai's Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited on 12 Jan, 2017. This massive and powerful submarine is designed in collaboration with France's Direction des Constructions Navales or DCN and the engine is powered by Diesel-electric. The Scorpene project has been in the news lately after details emerged of leaked technical data, but the Indian Navy believes the leak of information - published by an Australian daily - does not compromise the operational prowess of the submarines.

Interesting Facts:

1. The Submarine is equipped with superior stealth technology
2. The Submarine will counter activities of China in Indian Ocean
3. Khanderi is named after an island fort of the Marathas which ensured their supremacy at sea in the late 17th century.
4. It is capable to undertake missions such as anti-surface warfare, intelligence gathering, Mine laying and area surveillance.
5. It is specially designed to operate in all theatres including tropics.
6. India is among a few countries in the world which produce conventional submarines. Its submarine arm completes 50 years in December this year. Submarine Day is celebrated on December 8, the day when the first submarine, the INS Kalvari, was inducted into the Indian Navy in 1967.

ISRO Make India Proud By Launching 104 Satellites In Single Shot

Again ISRO makes a new history by launching 104 satellites in a single shot. This is really incredible. Today around 10AM the PSLV-C37 launched with a heavy load of 1378 kg (approx.) and nearly after 17 minutes and 30 seconds into the mission, when the rocket hit a velocity of 7609.52 metre per second, the prime payload, the indigenous Cartosat-2 series satellite separated.

The main attraction for this mission is that ISRO makes a huge jump in scaling up the load capacity, i.e. last time on June 2016 ISRO launched 20 satellites at a time and this time it launched 104 satellites successfully. Which includes 714kg Cartosat-2 series satellite along with two other Indian satellites, and 101 international co-passengers which were nano and micro satellites. This progress of ISRO is appreciated by all the nations.

The main satellite for this mission is :
India’s Cartosat-2 series satellite : This is basically India's Earth Observation satellite and the weight is 664KG.

Top Technical Innovations In The War Against Terrorism

Technology in the War against Terrorism

More than conventional war and deadly battles among nations our time is more concerned with terrorist attacks and the wide ranging casualties and mass panic caused by them. Naturally for most part of the world fighting terrorism is an immediacy and priority that no longer can be taken lightly. In the past 2 decades or so the world has seen a variety of most sophisticated and lethal terrorist attacks taking thousands of lives and dismantling normal livelihood for many people. With the rise of terrorism as a bigger force, technical sophistication in weaponry and maneuvers for counter w terrorism efforts is in great demand. Here, we have picked top 5 technical innovations in the war against terrorism.
Real time surveillance through aerial drones
drone
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) or drones are widely being used by security agencies worldwide and in the recent years they became more important for surveillance in areas prone to terrorist activities. Security drones offer real time surveillance images of a vast area with scrupulous details. With real time sharing of surveillance images traffic and police it becomes much easier for the traffic petrol and counter terrorism forces to track and nab any potential threat.

Backscatter X-Ray
tsa-x-ray-backscatter-machine-800x455lovely3
Backscatter X-Ray scans are more like normal X-Ray scans but they just scan penetrating slightly past the skin surface. In detecting all types of dangerous organic and inorganic materials hidden by the carrier can be easily detected by this technology. Normally metal detectors fail to scan dangerous elements that are organic in nature and this scanning technology helps to prevent such situation with additional scan in security intensive zones. In the post September 11 scenario every major US airports embraced this security scanning technology to protect itself from any potential security threats for its crew and passengers on board. It’s a handy tool to fight the war against Terrorism.

Corner shot gun
war against terrorism
This gun was first developed by Israeli security forces as part of their regular research on counter terrorism measures. We all know Israeli forces have to involve in anti insurgent activities on a regular basis across the whole troubled zone of Palestine. This typically maneuverable gun was developed for fighters in Special Forces who have to undergo difficult situation in nabbing terrorists and rescuing hostages. The gun is more like a semi automatic pistol with a camera but the only difference that makes it special is its ability to bend round the corner. This facilitates shooting without making the shooter exposed to the enemy. Many police forces and counter terrorist agencies are increasingly showing interest in this ammunition to fight an effective war against terrorism.

Biometric technology
1228383_634547670001201250-1
The most important thing in combating any terrorist offensive begins with the identification of the threatening individuals that stealthily can work out an offensive plan. In the wake of the new counter terrorism measures and technologies getting information and scanning for potential threats in any individual became extremely important. Biometric information provides a detailed set of data concerning the behavioral and physical characteristics of the person. Biometric information of a person has little chance of being falsified or illegally maneuvered as this information are part of the person himself and security agencies in no time can verify the identity of an individual in question.

StingRay – stealthy device to catch cell phone signals
111014_1538_StingRayTec1
StingRay is a new surveillance device that makes capturing cell phone signals a lot easier than before. This highly sophisticated stealthy spy device just can do magic when security agencies want to identify the location of a person based on his cell phone signal. It can track cell phone signals in a variety of environments including homes, vehicles, insulated buildings or anywhere. The device works as fake cell towers and through phone data and activities such as messages, calls or emails tracks down the device location.
As terrorism is continuing to be the greatest threat on our security hi tech security maneuvers and devices are increasingly becoming crucial for War against Terrorism in varied range of terrorist offensive.

Unique App For 5 Things You Didn’t Know

5 unique Apps

unique app
With over 1.4 million apps available in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, it’s nearly impossible to know the capability of every single app offered. Many people just simply don’t have the time to browse through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store for hours, searching for apps they haven’t heard of.
More commonly, people utilize social media, email, and gaming apps, but did you know that your phone can do much, much more than that?  It can actually be used for several different things. Below, we’ve tackled some of the work for you and compiled a list of 5 things you didn’t know there was an app for.
VPN Service
0tSJM
Your phone is not dissimilar from a computer:  you can play games on it, send emails, browse the internet, read and create documents, watch videos, and store images on it. Like a computer, it is also vulnerable to hackers and should be protected with a VPN service. By using a VPN service, you will be able to protect yourself from malware and geo-targeting, allowing you to not only protect your device, but also to protect your personal information and location.
An added bonus of using a VPN service is the ability to bypass certain website requirements, which enable you to do things like watch videos on Netflix while you’re outside of the U.S., and post ads to Craigslist in locations that aren’t local to you. A VPN service typically runs between $6.55 and $12.95 per month, depending on the subscription plan you choose, and is well worth it.
Moisture Detection71S0ZZLz9bL._SL1000_
Worried that you may have water damage in your home? There’s an unique app that can help! RYOBI Phone Works has created a moisture meter that can plug into your smartphone, allowing you to easily and inexpensively detect moisture levels in wood, drywall, cement, and other building materials. The moisture meter, including the app, retails for $29.97 at Home Depot and makes a great addition to your toolbox.
Earning Money
2014-03-30-18.50.29
Need some extra cash, but don’t have time for a full time job? Apps like  Rewardable   and  Easy Shift allow you to earn a quick buck using your smartphone. Available on both Android and iOS, these apps pay you for completing simple tasks such as checking prices and displays at nearby stores.
Unlike some of the other apps that offer incentives for completing tasks, Rewardable and Easy Shift allow you to transfer earnings to your PayPal account, rather than rewarding you with gift cards locked to specific stores or websites. Both apps are free to download.

Measuring
unnamed
For the handyman in you, an app called Carpenter should fit the bill. Carpenter provides you with 5 different measuring and leveling tools: a plumb bob level, surface level, bubble lever bar, ruler, and protractor. It’s available on both Android and iOS for considerably less than all those tools would cost separately.
On top of being cost-effective, Carpenter eliminates the hassle of lugging around all 5 of those tools to your job sites. Priced at just $1.99, it’s definitely money well spent.

Doctor Visits

Earbuds That Translates Any Language Into Your Preferred Language

Earbuds That Translates Any Language Into Your Preferred Language. Wow what a creation.
This near magic earpiece can translate just about any language into another one and vice versa, enabling any two people speaking different languages to understand each other. It’s the result of two years of R&D from Waverly Labs, a New York-based technology firm.
The earpiece is called Pilot and works together with the second earpiece through an app on your smartphone.  The starting price is said to be $299 for the set, though it is subject to change.  They are current accepting pre-orders on their website.
The current model seems to suffer a slight delay before it relay back your partner’s words in a language a chose. Integrating this type of technology into smartphones and devices like earbuds is a huge step forward in bridging countries.

Your Skin Is The Next Hi-Tech Smart Wearable Lets Try It...

Smart wearables have entered the lives of all of us. When they were introduced they made us wonder and gawk at them or people wearing them but now when they are quite common people react to them quite normally. Smart watches have found place in almost everybody’s life but not everybody likes them. Well you know the reason… the space constraint. You feel tied up when you have to see things in such a small space. But you also feel loaded when you have to carry those heavy smartphones in your pocket. Humans never seem to get satisfied with anything.
photo05
But imagine, what would happen if your skin became your smartphone? Yes you may laugh at that but the day is not too far when you will be among many people using your skin as your favourite smartphone. Believe it or not, artificial electronic skin (e-skin) could be a real possibility one day. Researchers at this very moment are busy developing flexible, bendable and stretchable electronic circuits that can be applied directly to the skin. This will simply turn your skin into a touchscreen.

Related article : LG introduces a new concept of heavy-duty flexible pressure sensor
The components of a typical e-skin are: flexible transistors, organic LEDs, sensors and organic photovoltaic (solar) cells – connected to each other by stretchable or flexible conductive wires. We actually have e-skin devices now that can detect approaching objects and measure temperature and applied pressure. This technology has also lead to the creation of bendable screens which has prompted one company to turn the human skin into a real smartphone using pico sensors and a pico projector.
As exciting as it may sound, the questions will still linger in the air! Will organic electronics be as reliable as their metallic or plastic or fibre counterparts? Do wrinkles on skin affect the capability of these? Because atoms in organic materials like skin are more chaotically organised than the inorganic materials used to make traditional electronics. This means electrons move 1,000 times slower in organic materials, so devices made from them will operate much more slowly and wouldn’t deal as well with the heat the circuits generate.
next-wearable-technology-could-be-your-skin-3

The other big issue is the ethical one, who can ensure that the integrating e-skin with the human body will not lead to any medical complications in the long run? What is the guarantee that these devices will not lead to horrible tumours in the body of the person using it? How many of you would actually want to wear your smartphones on your skin and how many of you would feel comfortable doing that for hours in a day? All these questions are sensible and need to be addressed with responsibility. As long as these questions remain unanswered or are left ignored, there is no point in supporting technology like e-skin. Human body is too great a cost to pay for a little comfort.

5 New Trends To Expect With Virtual Reality!

As you’ve no doubt heard by now, virtual reality is coming and coming quickly. Leading headsets have been demo’d and tested publicly pretty much throughout 2016 so far and in a matter of months we’re expecting at least a few of them to be available to the mass market.
While we’ve all been free to imagine incredible and immersive VR gaming experiences, what specific changes will these new tech gadgets bring to our lives with regard to entertainment? It’s hard to say exactly until the headsets are on store shelves and games (and other programs) are widely released. But based on a combination of news and speculation, here are a few trends to expect.
We’ll see an early wave of games based more on creativity than traditional gameplay. Arguably the most high profile demonstration of a VR experience to date showcased Minecraft on Oculus Rift, and it revealed a game in which players can create worlds as if they’re actually walking through them. We’ve also seen some other early VR demos that are almost artistic in nature and more grounded in augmented reality (meaning the environment resembles the room you’re in but you can touch and manipulate imagined materials within that space).
Traditional video games are fast, detailed, and frankly daunting even to some players who are excited about the prospects of VR. Creative experiences, however, can still show off the power and fun of VR without the risk of jarring visuals or clunky gameplay.
We could also see the formation of a new branch of popularity for tabletop card and casino games. Those who haven’t stayed closely involved with the development of online casinos may not be aware, but there’s actually a very high level of sophistication with this style of gaming already.
The games hosted at Betfair cover the full spectrum of tabletop casino experiences while approximating their own form of virtual reality on a computer screen. That is to say rather than simply showing you a screen with crudely animated cards or roulette wheels, this site generates interactive experiences with realistic graphics, live opponents, and in some cases video feeds of real live dealers. These experiences worked into VR would be simpler than most gaming adaptations and would spread a lucrative genre to the new format, which makes them seem like a likely early development.

Run Android Apps On Any Chromebook Secret Reveled

Run Android Apps On Any Chromebook, here how you can do that:
Google recently announced its very first developer preview with Android app for Chromebook. But, the chrome OS update is available only for Asus Chromebook flip. Devices like Google Chromebook Pixel and Acer Chromebook R11 can expect to get the update next, whereas other Chromebook users might have to for little more time.
Google’s latest timeline reveal that other Chromebooks will have to wait till late this year or early next year to get the play store built. However, if you’re impatient, there are ways you can run the Android apps on Chromebook. You will have to use the ARC Welder app to run Android on Chrome OS. Follow the steps given below to use Android apps on any Chromebook through ARC Welder.

Step 1

ARC-Welder-Chrome-app
Download the ARC wielder app from Chrome Web Store.

Step 2

Download the APK files of apps that you want to use on your Chromebook from APKMirror.com

Step 3

ARC-Welder-select-APK

Open the ARC Wielder app and then click on the Add your APK option.

Step 4

Select the APK files that you have downloaded.

Step 5

ARC-Welder-test-Android-app-on-Chromebook
Once the APK files are loaded in the app, you can choose from various options and customize your app experience. For example you can select the orientation (portrait or landscape), form factor (tablet, phone, maximized or full screen) and you can choose to give the app “Clipboard access” or not. Once done, click on “Test” to start the app.
Step 6
Android-apps-running-on-Chrome-OS-2
In case you have loaded ARC Welder app previously then you will be prompted to remove it before loading the new APK. Your app will then start up and you can use the app through mouse or touch if your Chromebook supports it.

Important Points to Note

The ARC Welder app is built for the developers trying to enhance their Android apps for the Chrome OS, so do not assume great performance out of it. Nevertheless, if you are just considering using a few Android apps on your Chromebook, it’s not too shabby either. Having said that, if you consider using ARC Welder permanently, here are a few important points to be kept in mind:

  • Have patience as it many take a little longer time to load after you have clicked test.
  • According to developers, you should useTablet or Maximized as the form factor and Landscape as the screen orientation for best results. You can resize the window of an app, like you would do on a normal app and the interface will scale accordingly.
  • Not all the apps work! We tried out the APKs of most of the popular apps and only a few managed to play well with Chrome OS. This should get fixed with future Chrome OS updates, as Google starts integrating its Play Services.
  • You should choose downloading stable versions of apps, rather than trying out any beta or alpha builds of an app.
  • Now, you are ready to try out Android apps on your Chromebook.
